Helllo! Thank you for reading this!

Inquiry Question: How can anger be transformed to become a positive emotion?

In this topic, I will be looking at human emotions. Personally I am not a person to be angered, you can ask people who know me and hasn't really seen me angry. The main reason why this research is that I have heard that being angry all the time is not a great lifestyle or mindset. I am embarking this challenge to find out what is it that really makes this true, why is it negative, how could we change it so it becomes beneficial in some way.
This can impact the community in a positive way and possibly in the world as this applies to everyone as we all get emotions and anger is one of common ones. By learning this we can deepen our understanding of what's part of us all.

Steps/Points to hit:

At this time it is fairly simplistic, and can change!

  1. Outline, clarify and define what "emotions" are,
    1. how they play the role in our lives and
    2. what is anger, what exactly happens (may need to be extended)
  2. How does anger impact the health, well being of a person and the physical, mental effects of it.
  3. What are the current suggested methods of dealing with anger, how to learn to control, or prevent.
  4. The science behind meditation or other methods.
  5. Physical reactions during anger
  6. Produce the best closest answer in the end
  7. Create a survey to collect data

Original Post

Hey Jim,

Compelling new inquiry topic about turning a negative emotion into a positive. Like most people I have experienced some anger, but if you learn to channel it and change it into a different emotion like passion it will most likely have a beneficial effect on the event. For example, when playing a sport, if you hit a bad shot, instead of being angered at one shot for the rest of your match. Take a couple deep breathes and turn the anger into passion for your sport which will allow you to succeed since you have a positive mindset. Perhaps examining an athlete or someone who handles their emotions well could add another perspective to your project. Anyways great project plan like normal. Here is a link to help you out.

Hey Jim,

I really like where you're planning on going with this cycle. I think the research you will find will be eye-opening, useful, and definitely inspiring. Mainly, I think it will be interesting to see methods that are tried and true and definitely work for diminishing or directing anger.

I think it would be interesting if you not only looked into how anger plays a role in daily life but also how daily life plays a role in anger. What I mean is seeing how these aggressive sports like soccer and hockey impact a person's anger levels, or you could look into how stress and schooling impact a person's anger or temperament.

Regardless, good luck with your future research! I am excited to see what you find
