Hey guys,I will be looking at the effects of Global Warming...

Global warming is the gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth's atmosphere generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, CFCs, and other pollutants

Effects of global warming

Each year, scientists learn more about the consequences of global warming, and many agree that environmental, economic, and health consequences are likely to occur if current trends continue:

Effects of global warming,Melting glaciers, early snow melt, and continuous droughts will result to more dramatic water scarcity and increase the risk of wildfires in the American West.

  • Rising of sea levels will result to coastal flooding on the Eastern Seaboard, especially in Florida, and in such areas as the Gulf of Mexico.
  • Some places for example in farms will face trouble pests, heat waves, heavy downpours, and increased flooding.
  • destruction of habitats such as coral reefs and Alpine meadows might drive many plant and animal species to extinction.
  • Some diseases for example asthma may be common because of increased growth of pollen-producing ragweed, increased levels of air pollution, together with the spread of conditions that are favorable to  pests.

.Extreme heat waves have caused tens of thousands of many deaths across the world in recent years. The earth’s ocean temperatures are also getting warmer and wwarmer, too—which means that tropical storms can pick up more energy. So global warming could turn, say, a category 3 storm into a more dangerous category 4 storm.Coal-burning power plants are by far the biggest polluters.

Hey Dorcas,

Great research about effects of global warming. You have very much educated me on effects of global warming melting glaciers and continuous droughts.Like for example i would like you to inform us more about and how to forecasting the effects of global warming and also how they can be foretasted. Also you should mention whether Global warming has benefits to people here in the earth.

Here i got a link for you;

Hi Dorcas,

You have a very nice research since the issue is on the rise for now and the world is at a narrow end since global warming has so many effects and most of the results are not positive but negative such as skin cancer and causes the sea level to rise. The following link may be useful in creating your next post:

Hey Dorcas,

Great round of research! I think global warming is such an important issue, but is often overlooked by many. I liked how you explained not only the causes but also the affects of global warming. Maybe consider looking at how we can stop global warming in a future round of research!

Here are some websites that may help with your research:

Good luck!

Hey Dorcas,

This is a chic research i like the way you are taking through with this research i appreciate i have a lot from this your research like the effects of global warming are the environmental and social changes caused directly or indirectly by human emissions of greenhouse gases. There is a scientific consensus that climate change is occurring, and that human activities are the primary driver. An overview of the impacts of global warming, including sea level rise, more frequent and severe heat waves, increasing wildfire risks, and more. Many are already taking place today -- and will only get worse as temperatures continue to rise.

Show us more nice time in your next research.

Hi Dorcas,

I absolutely loved your post! This is because I just recently finished learning about global warming and how humans contribute to it in my science class! This has led me to the idea that maybe you could look into all the ways humans contribute to climate change. From what I learned in class, the burning of fuels in the combustion reaction is causing the release of CO2 and H20. The CO2 however, is rising into the atmosphere and trapping the heat on earth inside like a blanket. There are so many ways we burn fuel, and most of it comes from the transportation of goods. Planes, trucks and trains all burn fuel to get us the items we use everyday. Perhaps you could try and connect this concept and idea to your project!

Good luck!
