Project plan: "Are ideologies on a moral plane?"

My inquiry question asks whether socio-economic and cultural ideologies are in any sense, "good or bad". The objective is to find out if an ideology can be made with negative intent, and if an ideology can be ranked in objectivity or positive vs. negative perceptions. I will be going through websites and videos that primarily document the opinions of different ideologies and how they change over time. Further more, I'll be learning about the ideologies themselves (such as communism, fascism,...

Re: Project plan: "Are ideologies on a moral plane?"

Hi Opal, I think that you have chosen a very controversial topic since people that live in different parts of the world will have different opinions on this. This is probably what will make your research interesting to follow. I also think that you have to be very careful with your research since most information on this topic is probably very biased. Perhaps you could start your research with information on what makes people believe that a certain socio-economic or cultural ideology is good...

This will definitely be an interesting project! I like the approach of killing two birds with one stone by doing an inquiry project and testing the wisdom of a ted talk. Learning how to learn a language by actually learning a language is definitely the way to go! Learning a language to fluency in six months seems like a pretty steep learning curve (unless, of course, you plan on living in an immersion setting). I think the hardest part will be finding opportunities to practice speaking your...

I plan to apply these 5 principles and 7 actions to my daily life and see how effective his theory works. 5 principles: Attention, Meaning, Relevance, and Memory.

Interesting project plan, Madison! I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with this. I appreciate that you are planning to talk directly to superstores. It's an important perspective in a project like this. Something that also might be helpful to look into is the sustainability of eating insects, as many new articles are starting to call it an option for the future. If you're interested, here's an article to get you started: https://woven-network.co.uk/wp...ainable-foodways.pdf Good luck!!

Something else you could look into is "what causes sleep disorders in kids with disabilities". Autism is a very common disability in our population and presents parents with unique challenges when it comes to ensuring they get proper sleep. http://www.webmd.com/brain/aut...-good-nights-sleep#1 Looking forward to your next post!

Hey Madison, Sounds like a great topic! Environmental issues are ones that we should be becoming more and more conscious about, so I'm excited to read your research. Something I thought of while reading your project plan was; since you are focusing a bit on food waste, if you're interested, research the relation and impacts of food waste in first-world countries and its effect on poverty in others. Just something to think about!

Many professional athletes have a good sense of their nutritional needs, though not many people have actually stopped to think about the physics and engineering of sports. It's interesting because somebody would've had to discover it. Perhaps the sciences behind sports could explain some of the dangers that result from sports and explain sports injuries.
