Round 4: My question is: Should euthanasia be legalized? So far I have looked at the different places that it is legalized and their rules regarding it, how it conflicts with religion and which religions support it or are against it and who would implicate it and how does it affect those who do. (4)Here is a quick recap of what euthanasia is: “Euthanasia is a deliberate act undertaken by one person with the intention of ending the life of another person to relieve that person’s suffering...Read More...

Round 2: should Euthanasia be legal? Hello everyone! In this round I plan on looking at the religious aspect of things. I will be looking into the different points of view from different religions. I want to take a closer look at the most common religions, their view and their reasoning behind either being for or against euthanasia. Along with how religion could conflict with ones wishes. Death is a big part of all religions. They all have some explanation of why it happens, what to do when...Read More...

In this round I will be looking into what countries have legalized euthanasia, as well as their specific requirements for what is covered by the law( ie. what illness’s and to what degree). (1)Firstly I would like to clarify, there is euthanasia which is where the physician must deliver the substance which will end his/her life and then there is PAS (physician-assisted-suicide) where the doctor gives the patient the substance which will end his/her life but do not actually do it themselves.Read More...

Inquiry question: Should Canada continue to support refugees coming from the U.s. border? Hello everyone! I just started on butterfly effect and this is my first project. I chose to look into something big that is happening in Canada. When Donald Trump was elected the new president of the United States it didn't only effect them. The new laws in the U.S. make it very difficult for refugees, resulting in many deciding to "move" to Canada. I was interested in this topic because it will have a...Read More...

round 3 research

Catherine Eckman (Charles Best)
inquiry question: Should Canada continue to support the refugees coming from the U.S. border? This round of research I will be focusing on the possible outcomes and affects, the benefits and downfalls. More specifically the effects on our economy, the living conditions on these refugees, the possible risk for Canadians safety and the jobs. Apparently it will cost Canada $1.2 billion over the next 6 years for the 25,000 refugees we have taken in. But for our economy in the long run, this will...Read More...

Inquiry question: Should Canada continue to support refugees coming from the U.S. border? plan for round 2: Originally i planned on looking seuly on the ways the refugees are coming. Question: should Canada continue to support refugees coming from the U.S. border? Hello everyone, this is my first round of research. I will be focusing on the affects the new laws past in the U.S. have had. Specifically the how, why and when. I received a couple comments warning me about offending people and one, thank you. Two, when I started this, that hadn't even entered my mind. Why? well this inquiry is not for me to lend my opinion to what should be done. It is to find the facts that...Read More...
