About Me- Natalie Owen

Hi my name is Natalie Owen, I am 14, I live in Coquitlam, I go to Dr. Charles Best Secondary School, my favorite subject is science and I would like to become an engineer.

Something that may surprise you about me is I like to build lego and I adore the Beatles. I grew up listening to old music from the 60s, 70s, and 80s, and have an emotional attachment to the music by the Beatles. I also love lego because I loved playing with it growing up and I continued to love it, as I would build model buildings and cars with my dad.

If I could solve any global problem, I would want to solve climate change. Obviously, there are many more problems I would like to solve, but the one that hits me the hardest has always been climate change. It has always made me extremely sad to see what the human race has done to the planet, and how we have ruined so many things for so many species. I want my kids and the next generations to see a world full of beautiful forests, oceans, and animals, and at the rate we are destroying the planet, the next generations will not see the Earth I want them to.

I have many passions like baking, soccer, piano, singing, and more. I have played soccer for most of my life, played piano for most of my life, and I started singing before I could add or subtract. Baking is also very special to me as I grew up baking with my dad and those are very happy memories. Baking is extremely calming to me and a way to get away from any stress that may come. In my free time I love to watch T.V shows and movies, and absolutely love to read books. I love many different types of books including the classics, fantasy, and romance. Books are a way to escape for many people, and that is definitely the case for me. I will always love to read and I try to make time for it whenever I can.
