Hello! My name is Amy, and I am a grade 10 student at Dr. Charles Best Secondary School. This is my first year in Social Responsibility. This year, I hope to do a story project and learn more in this class class about how to contribute more to the world.
I would like to start a club in my school called Girls in Robotics, it’s about promoting the presence of girls and women in STEM fields. My long-term goal is to enter the club in the World Robot Olympiad competition (it’s a competition that teaches youth how robots can be used to improve the world). I find it very fun, though my ultimate hobby is writing fiction (I’m not very good at it, but practice makes perfect, right?).
When I’m not busy (which I almost never am, juggling half a dozen out-of-school activities), I like to read classics, cuddle with my cat Michonne, and make crafts. I have a membership at a Lapidary club, which I never used before, but I have made agate trees.
