What is the meaning of life? (P.P.): Metamorphosis

Hey everyone!

This cycle I continued with my question from the previous cycle except this time, I looked at the question from a philosophical perspective.

The last cycle, when I looked at this question from a religious perspective, I learned a lot about different religions and how they are all not so different from each other. This cycle, I learned a lot about some major philosophers in history and their widely variant ideas of why we're here, and it was so interesting!

This project has impacted me in that I feel that my decisions regarding what I want to do with my life and what my goals are will be more informed after having learned about so many different perspectives.

I think that this research is impactful on a global scale because so many people walk through life aimlessly without ever truly thinking about what the meaning of their life is. If people took the time to learn about some philosophies and religions, they may find within them a purpose to their life! I also think that learning about what others believe in gives us a better understanding of them and could bring people together (especially in a time like now when we need to unite).

This cycle has been so fun and learning about some influential philosophers and their philosophies has been fantastic.

This is most likely the end of my last cycle on Butterfly Effect and I'm so glad to have had the experience on this site. Thanks to everyone for all the comments! I've learned so much and I can't wait to apply all this knowledge to my everyday life.

Hi Taryn!

I agree that finding a meaning in life, rather than wandering through life aimlessly, can really give a purpose to someone's life and help them with daily obstacles, and even unite people. And it doesn't necessarily have to be a religious purpose, either. Just finding one's own meaning and purpose in life could really help! All in all, really good research, and I enjoyed reading your posts!
