How does life today compare to ancient Egypt?
I was really excited to research this inquiry question, because ancient civilizations, and just history in general is so fascinating to me. After doing my research, I learnt so many interesting aspects of ancient Egypt, and how our society has changed and developed so much from then. This research also changed the way I look at pharaohs, and ancient Egypt's religion now having a better understanding of how it works. For example, before I did not truly know how religiously involved the Egyptians were in their daily lives, and that they would devote their whole lives to please their gods. I also have a new perspective of how the pharaohs were interpreted by the people. I never knew that the pharaohs would make the artists change their appearance to what they would like to look like when carving portraits of them.
I think this information can benefit others, because now they have a new perspective of Egypt, and in a sense it is very eye-opening and they are more knowledgeable of the world's history. Egypt is very rich in culture and tradition, so it is interesting to look back into their civilization to see where certain things from today derived from, for example, using constellations as guidance, and keeping rules by using the gods.
My biggest challenge while doing this research was trying to post all the information within the time frame. I was originally planning on doing four research rounds, but unfortunately there was not enough time to fit all the information I wanted, so I only had three research rounds. Although, overall I really enjoyed doing research for this inquiry question!
